Author Guidelines for Research Paper Submission

Welcome to Shodh-Samiksha: Journal of Research and Review. We are delighted to consider your manuscript for publication. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors are requested to adhere to the following guidelines, which help maintain the journal's standards of academic excellence and clarity.

 

1. Authorship Criteria

  • All authors listed in the manuscript must have made significant intellectual contributions to the research. This includes conceptualization, methodology, analysis, or writing of the manuscript.
  • The corresponding author must be identified, who will handle all correspondence during the review and publication process.
  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and confirm that the work has not been submitted or published elsewhere.

 

2. Manuscript Formatting

In English

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 lines.
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbering: All pages should be numbered consecutively in the bottom center.
  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise and grammatically correct English.
  • File Format: Submit the manuscript in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

हिंदी में

  • Font: Kokila Regular, 14-point size.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 lines.
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbering: All pages should be numbered consecutively in the bottom center.
  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise and grammatically correct Hindi.
  • File Format: Submit the manuscript in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

 

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:  

  1. Title Page: Include the full title of the paper, author names, institutional affiliations and the corresponding author’s contact details (email, phone number).
  2. Abstract: Limit to 200-250 words, Provide a concise summary of the research, including the problem addressed, methods, results and conclusions & Avoid references and citations in the abstract.
  3. Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords that best describe the subject of the manuscript.
  4. Main Body Introduction:  
    • Briefly introduce the topic, research question, and objectives of the study.
    • Outline the significance and relevance of the research in the context of the existing literature.
  5. Methods:
    • Clearly describe the research design, methodology, data collection, and analysis processes.
    • Specify the tools, techniques, and procedures used in the study.
    • Ensure that this section is replicable by other researchers.
  6. Results:
    • Present the findings of the study, including tables, figures, and statistical analysis.
    • Avoid interpretation of the results in this section.
  7. Discussion:
    • Interpret the results, compare them with prior studies, and discuss their implications.
    • Address the limitations of the study and suggest areas for future research.
  8. Conclusion:
    • Summarize the key findings and their relevance to the field.
    • Provide recommendations or insights for policy, practice or further research.
  9. References:
    • Use APA (7th edition) citation style for both in-text citations and the reference list.
    • Ensure all cited works are listed in the reference section and vice versa.
    • Include only works directly cited in the manuscript.

 

  4. Word Count Limits

  • Research Articles: Maximum 5000 words (including references, tables, and figures).
  • Short Communications: Maximum 3000 words.
  • Review Articles: Maximum 7000 words.
  • Case Studies: Maximum 3500 words.

 

5. Figure and Table Guidelines

  • Figures:
    • Figures should be clear, high-quality, and professionally formatted.
    • Each figure should have a title and be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2).
    • Place the figures within the text or at the end of the manuscript.
  • Tables:
    • Tables should be used to present key data or findings concisely.
    • Tables should be numbered and titled above the table.
    • Ensure tables are self-explanatory, with proper legends for all abbreviations.

 

6. Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: All submissions will be checked for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with significant similarities to published works will be rejected.
  • Human and Animal Research: Studies involving human participants or animals must comply with ethical guidelines, and approval from relevant ethics committees should be stated.
  • Informed Consent: If the research involves human participants, written informed consent must be obtained, and this should be documented.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research, including funding sources, affiliations, or personal interests that could influence the results.

 

7. Submission Procedures

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission portal.
  • Cover Letter: Include a cover letter with the submission that outlines the significance of the research, the main findings, and why the manuscript is suitable for publication in Shodh-Samiksha.
  • Supplementary Material: Authors may include supplementary materials (data sets, questionnaires, videos, etc.) with the manuscript submission. Ensure that supplementary files are clearly referenced in the main manuscript.
  • Revisions: If requested, authors should submit revisions within 2 weeks of receiving feedback from the reviewers. Failure to do so may result in the manuscript being withdrawn from the review process.

Once the manuscript is submitted, it will undergo a peer review process. Authors will be notified of the outcome (acceptance, revisions, or rejection) after the review period.

 

8. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright of their work. However, upon acceptance for publication, authors grant Shodh-Samiksha the right to publish the paper online and in print.
  • Authors are encouraged to use open-access licensing (such as Creative Commons) for their published articles to increase visibility and accessibility.
